Most step van food trucks are about 24 to 33 feet long bumper to bumper. The size people quote, like 16 ft, is the box. Morgan Olson lists overall lengths of 23 ft 9 in for a 14 ft body, 25 ft 9 in for 16 ft, 27 ft 9 in for 18 ft and 32 ft 9 in for 24 ft.

The kitchen floor is a little shorter than the box name. On those bodies, the cargo floor behind the driver's bulkhead is 167 inches in a 14 ft truck, 191 inches in a 16 ft and 215 inches in an 18 ft.
