How much does a food truck weigh?

It depends on the build, so the useful number is the chassis rating. The Freightliner MT45 step van chassis is rated at 14,140 to 19,500 lb gross vehicle weight, and the larger MT55 at 20,500 to 30,000 lb. That rating covers the truck plus everything in it.

Equipment adds up fast. A Cummins Onan QG 5500 generator weighs 288 lb, a True T-23 reach-in refrigerator 270 lb and a True TSSU-48-12 prep table 290 lb. Full water tanks and propane cylinders come on top of that.
