Service window

A service window is the opening in the side of a food truck or trailer where staff take orders and hand out food. It usually has a sliding or hinged window or a screen, and an outside shelf for customers.

Health departments often cap its size. The NACCHO factsheet limits openings to 216 square inches, as does Los Angeles County, while Maricopa County, Arizona allows 324. NACCHO and Maricopa want multiple windows at least 18 inches apart, and openings screened or closed when not in use.

Put the point of sale and finishing station beside it. The layout maker has a service window you can place on any wall, and food truck design covers placement.
